We discovered that our grass lawns that we were trying to keep as grass were in fact a variety of grasses, clover and wire weed. We hand pulled each of the clovers and wire weeds out as we didn’t want to spray with a weedkiller anywhere near our rabbit.
The soil at this time of year is quite dry in places, and we have started to devise ways to retaining moisture where ever possible, either in tanks and to water or by increasing the use of top covers such as mulches to keep the soil covered.
Our apples were developing and our stone fruits were starting to turn in their old leaves.
